New Managing Director Tobias Laurens Strengthens CSC’s Sustainability Mission

As the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) celebrates the 10th anniversary of its global responsible sourcing certification, the organization welcomes Tobias Laurens as its new Managing Director. With nearly a decade of experience in and around the concrete sector, Laurens brings a strong commitment to measurable sustainability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the value chain.

He is motivated by the belief that the concrete industry can—and must—advance toward lower carbon, greater circularity, and more responsible sourcing. Laurens sees CSC as a vital framework for guiding companies through a complex sustainability landscape, helping them move from ambition to credible, verifiable action.

In his first months, he aims to listen, learn, and build clarity within the organization, followed by strengthening CSC’s strategic direction and global influence, with renewed emphasis on North America. Laurens looks forward to collaborating with certified companies and partners to expand CSC’s impact and support a more sustainable built environment.

Live Event: Concrete Innovations: Pathways to Reducing Carbon Footprint

CONEXPO-CON/AGG | Register

March 5, 2026 - 1:00 - 2:00 PM Pacific

Las Vegas Convention Center

Join Lionel Lemay, Founder and CEO of ConcreteNexus and Brian Killingsworth, Executive Vice President of NRMCA for their session on pathways to reducing the carbon footprint of concrete.
