Breaking News:
CSC Certification Recognized in LEED v5

Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) has achieved a major milestone in LEED v5, with its responsible sourcing certification system now officially recognized within the Building Product Selection and Procurement credit (MRc4) and Multi-Attribute Structure, Enclosure, Hardscape, and Other Building Materials credit (MRpc181). This recognition enables CSC‑certified concrete products to contribute through LEED’s new multi‑attribute scoring framework—an important step forward for project teams seeking transparent, low‑carbon, and socially responsible materials. The update reflects LEED v5’s stronger emphasis on decarbonization, human and ecosystem health, equity, and circularity. By aligning with these criteria, CSC provides a clear, credible pathway for concrete producers to demonstrate optimized performance across multiple sustainability dimensions. For designers, contractors, and owners, this recognition expands the toolkit for meeting LEED v5 goals while supporting responsible sourcing across the concrete supply chain.
