ConcreteNexus Webinar:

Use of Mineral Fines to Reduce Carbon Emissions, Decrease Production Cost, and Improve Durability

May 19, 2026 | 1:00 - 2:00 pm Eastern | Register

This webinar highlights how precisely graded mineral fines can significantly improve concrete performance while reducing environmental impact and production costs. By enhancing particle packing and increasing mix density, producers can lower cement content without sacrificing strength, durability, or workability, often saving $5 to $20 per cubic yard while cutting embodied carbon. The session is led by John Guynn, Founder and Chief Science Officer of Roman Cement, a leading innovator with more than 40 patents in low‑carbon concrete technologies. With decades of experience and multiple award‑winning field trials, he now serves on the ACI 211‑N committee, helping advance standards for proportioning with mineral fillers.

Concrete Sustainability Council Survey

The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC), the global certification for responsibly sourced concrete, cement and aggregates, marks its 10‑year anniversary this year. We are conducting a brief market survey to better understand the value, relevance, and future interest in the CSC certification system. Your insights are essential in shaping the next decade of responsible sourcing in the concrete industry. There are two different surveys, one for manufacturers and one for specifiers and policymakers. The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete. Please click on the appropriate link below to complete the survey by May 30, 2026.

  • Architects, engineers, contractors, green building consultants and policymakers: Click here

Thank you in advance for your support. Once the survey closes, you are welcome to view the anonymized results at www.csc.eco. ConcreteNexus is a partner with CSC in North America.

ConcreteNexus On-Demand Webinar: Concrete's Contribution to Envision Certification

This on-demand webinar originally aired April 14, 1-2 pm Eastern. Join Lionel Lemay to explore how concrete plays a pivotal role in achieving Envision certification for sustainable infrastructure. Participants will learn how responsibly sourced materials, optimized mix designs, and transparent environmental data—such as EPDs—support key Envision credit categories, from reducing embodied carbon to enhancing resilience and long‑term performance. We’ll break down practical strategies for project teams, highlight real‑world applications, and show how concrete producers can align with Envision’s goals to deliver measurable social, environmental, and economic benefits. Join us to understand concrete’s unique potential to elevate infrastructure sustainability and drive meaningful project outcomes.

The Future of Concrete Webinar:

From Carbon Targets to Concrete Decisions

June 10, 2026 | 2 PM Eastern, 11 am Pacific | Register

Embodied carbon targets are increasingly shaping how projects are designed and built, but translating those high-level goals into material-level decisions remains a challenge.

This session explores how owner-driven sustainability requirements connect with the realities of concrete production and EPD data in practice.

- How embodied carbon targets are set and applied at the project and portfolio level

- What EPDs can (and can’t) tell you when specifying and sourcing concrete

- Where gaps exist between owner expectations and supplier capabilities and how to close them

Lionel Lemay will be joined Sara Neff from Microsoft and Matthew Lemay from Climate Earth. We look forward to seeing you there!

ConcreteNexus Webinar:

Cements for Modern Concrete Construction

June 16, 2026 | 1:00 - 2:00 pm Eastern | Register

The demands on concrete are increasing - from fast‑track construction to ultra‑flat floors and more resilient, sustainable materials. This presentation introduces Titan America’s TriForce Cement, an engineered blend developed with producers and contractors to address real‑world challenges such as water demand, finishability, and long‑term durability. By integrating multiple materials into one consistent, predictable solution, TriForce also maintains flexibility for additional SCMs at the plant. The webinar will be led by Eric Koehler, Ph.D., P.E., Vice President of Innovation at Titan America, whose career in R&D and concrete technology has advanced high‑performance, low‑carbon ready‑mixed concrete across the industry.
